Top Of Stove Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium sweet potatoes
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. water
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of cinnamon
1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Cook potatoes until tender.
Peel and cut lengthwise.
Set aside.
Simmer in a pan the next 5 ingredients until the sugar dissolves.
Add the potato halves and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
Cook until potatoes are glazed and the syrup thickened.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Turn into a serving dish.
