Grandma Flanders' Sweet Dough - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. milk
7 c. flour
1 c. milk
6 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs
Preparation

Soften yeast in about 1 cup warm water and 1 tablespoon sugar. Add butter, sugar and salt to 1 cup scalded milk.
Use the other cup of milk to slowly cool the scalded milk to lukewarm, stirring continuously.
Add yeast, eggs and flour to make stiff batter. Add remaining flour and knead.
Let rise to double the bulk. Roll out to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with round
cookie cutter; fold in half and bake on greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
