Krupnik(Barley Soup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. meat stock
    2 carrots, diced
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    2 potatoes, diced
    sour cream (optional)
    6 oz. pearl barley
    1/3 c. mushrooms
    4 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cube leftover bread and place the cubes on a paper towel in your microwave.
    Microwave on High power until they are hard, about 1 minute. Combine dried herbs and spices of your choice. For example, basil, thyme, parsley, paprika and pepper.
    Place in paper or plastic bag with the hardened cubes. Shake well.
