Sweet Potato Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white syrup
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    3 eggs
    2 c. sweet potatoes, grated fine
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. allspice and cloves
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter a little and mix with sugar.
    Then add 1 egg at a time and beat well.
    Now add half of potatoes and then half of milk at a time. Beat well and add rest of potatoes and milk.
    Add white Karo and spices. Grease a 3-inch deep dish and sprinkle with very little flour.
    Add mixture to pan and sprinkle freely with sugar on top, little hunks of butter and white Karo syrup.
    Cook 35 to 40 minutes.
