Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk (cold)
    2 c. plain mashed potatoes
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. lard
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    2 Tbsp. yeast and 1 Tbsp. sugar
    11 to 12 c. bread flour
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix milk, mashed potatoes, sugar and lard together.
    Dissolve yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in warm water.
    Add to mixture. Next, add 3 cups flour.
    Cover and let set 1/2 to 3/4 hour.
    Then add eggs, salt and remaining flour.
    Let rise until double.
    Roll, cut and let rise again.
    Bake in hot lard.
