Fresh Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. corn oil
    1/3 c. green onions, thinly sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped
    4 c. seeded, chopped tomatoes
    4 oz. can chopped green chilies
    2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan heat corn oil over medium heat.
    Add next 3 ingredients.
    Cook, stirring, 3 minutes or until onion is tender.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Stirring occasionally, bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes or until desired thickness.
    Makes about 3 1/4 cups.
    May be stored, tightly covered, in refrigerator 2 to 3 weeks.
