Date Nut Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. sweet and sour cream
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix together until smooth.
    Divide into 2 parts.
    Roll out and spread with date mixture.
    Wrap and chill several hours.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
