Mexican Creole Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. Wesson oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream together the sugar, oil, vanilla and eggs.
    Sift together the flour, cocoa and salt.
    Add flour mixture to sugar alternately with buttermilk.
    Mix baking soda and boiling water; add to mixture last, making a thin batter.
    Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour in a long, shallow pan at 300\u00b0.
    Do not overbake.
