Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick margarine
1 baked pie crust
3 egg whites
Preparation

Mix the first 5 ingredients in a medium size boiler.
Cook over medium heat until mixture begins to thicken.
Add egg yolks and margarine.
Stir well.
Remove from heat and add the vanilla flavoring.
Stir out any lumps that might have appeared.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites until stiff and add 3 tablespoons sugar while beating.
Pour on top of chocolate mixture.
Place in oven until meringue is brown.
