Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    2 (15 oz.) cans crushed pineapple
    2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
    pecan pieces
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    6 bananas, sliced
    2 (4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed.
    Divide in half.
    Crumble half into a large glass punch bowl.
    Top with 1 can cherry pie filling and 1 can crushed pineapple.
    Sprinkle with pecan pieces.
    Mix 1 box pudding as directed; spread over nuts.
    Slice and layer bananas over pudding.
    Top with one 8 ounce container Cool Whip.
