Mary Crowley'S Yummy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/3 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and butter.
Let stand 10 to 20 minutes.
Add remaining cake ingredients and stir gently.
Do not use mixer.
Pour into buttered pan and bake 35 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
