Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine
    2/3 c. unsweetened baking cocoa
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs (unbeaten)
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt shortening in large saucepan over low heat.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in cocoa and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
    Add vanilla, flour, baking powder and and salt.
    Beat well.
    Add 1 cup chopped nuts (if desired).
    Turn into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Cool and cut into squares.
