Ingredients

1 can beets
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 beet juice
1/2 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch; add beet juice and vinegar.
Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add butter and salt.
Add beets and bring again to boiling point.
Remove from heat and serve.
