Holiday Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (13 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
    1 (7 oz.) bottle ginger ale
    1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
    1 lb. can jellied whole cranberry sauce
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut in small cubes
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
    Add water to make one cup and heat to boiling.
    Dissolve gelatin in hot liquid and stir in cranberry sauce.
    Cool.
    Stir in ginger ale, nuts, pineapple and cream cheese.
    Pour into mold and chill.
