Chilli Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 slices bacon
1 medium onion, sliced
1 lb. ground beef
2 cans kidney beans
2 1/2 cans tomatoes
salt to suit taste
chili powder to suit taste (1 or 2 Tbsp.)
Preparation

Broil bacon until done.
Remove bacon and saute onion in the dripping until tender (7 to 10 minutes).
Add meat and cook and stir until gray in color.
Chop bacon and return to mixture.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer until flavors are well blended (about 20 minutes).
Serve hot.
If desired, serve meat mixture over hot cooked rice.
Approximately 5 servings.
