Ingredients

2 tsp. butter
1 tsp. flour
4 slices French bread, lightly toasted
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 c. thinly sliced onions
3 c. canned beef broth
1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan.
Add onions and flour and continue to cook.
Stir in broth and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Divide soup into bowls.
Top each bowl with 2 slices of bread and sprinkle with cheeses.
Brown slightly under broiler.
