Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    14 oz. bag caramels
    12 oz. chocolate chips
    1 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Mix together cake mix, butter and milk and spread half of batter in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 5 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt together caramels and milk.
    Layer over cake in pan, the melted caramels, the bag of chocolate chips and pecans.
    Drop remaining batter on top by teaspoon.
    Bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Do not overbake.
