Codfish Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. salt cod fish
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/8 tsp. hot pepper
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    1/2 c. parsley, minced
    1 1/2 c. tomatoes
    1/4 c. milk or water
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Soak fish in water overnight or boil and pour off water.
    Boil again to get most of the salt out of the fish.
    Break up fish; add rest of ingredients and stir.
    Drop by spoonfuls into boiling cooking oil.
    Fry to a golden brown.
