Chicken New Mexico Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. chicken, cut into pieces
    2 medium onions
    2 bay leaves, crushed
    3 cloves garlic, chopped fine
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. rosemary
    3/4 c. cooking sherry
Preparation
    Place chicken in kettle with water.
    Add onions, garlic, bay leaf, salt and rosemary.
    Simmer for 30 minutes.
    Let sauce reduce to 1/3 of original amount.
    Add sherry.
    Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
