Chicken Liver Pate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chicken livers
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    4 slices bacon, chopped
    8 hard cooked eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    slivered blanched almonds
    2 whole almonds
Preparation
    In saucepan, saute onions and bacon until tender, but not brown.
    Add chicken livers and cook until livers no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
    Put mixture through meat grinder with hard cooked eggs.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Shape ground mixture into oval mound with a nose-like projection at one end.
    Decorate with slivered almonds to represent porcupine needles, use whole almonds for eyes.
    If ground mixture is too hard to shape, add a little milk.
    It is better to chill mold before decorating it.
