Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, sliced
    2 bell peppers, chopped
    3 cucumbers, sliced
    4 carrots, sliced
    5 green onions, chopped
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    2 c. frozen peas, thawed
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    4 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    In a glass bowl, layer lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, green onions, mushrooms and peas.
    In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise and sugar.
    Mix well.
    Spread evenly over the peas to seal sides.
    Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and bacon.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight; refrigerate at least 4 hours.
    When serving, be sure each portion contains some of each salad layer.
