Vanilla Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Gradually stir in milk and egg mixture.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
    Add butter and vanilla after it thickens.
    Cool.
    Add meringue.
