Cream Puffs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1 c. flour
3 eggs
powdered sugar
Preparation

Add shortening and salt to boiling water and stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Lower heat; add flour all at once and stir vigorously until mixture leaves sides of pan. Remove from heat and add 1 egg at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Shape on an ungreased cookie sheet using 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon of paste for 1 puff, depending on size desired. Bake in hot oven, 450\u00b0, for 20 minutes. Do not open the door. Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake about 20 minutes more. Remove and place on rack to cool. When cold, make slit on one side of each puff with sharp knife. Fill with whipped cream. Dust tops with powdered sugar.
