Sourdough Starter(Basic Batter) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 c. warm water
Preparation
    In glass or crock bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water.
    Add flour and remaining water.
    Mix well and allow to stand, loosely covered, in warm place 3 to 5 days.
    Each time batter is used, reserve 1 cup batter to use as a starter for another batch.
    May be kept in refrigerator indefinitely.
