Old Hickory Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1.25 c. sugar
    0.75 c. butter
    3 hen eggs
    0.75 c. sweet milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2.25 c. flour
    1 c. hickory nuts
    0.75 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Sift 2 heaping teaspoonfuls of baking powder with 2 1/4 cups flour.
    In a separate bowl, mix sugar and butter; beat until creamy.
    Add in all other ingredients with the sugar and butter, then mix in a little of flour/baking powder at a time.
    Bake in 4 layers.
