Oatmeal Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. dark corn syrup
2/3 c. regular rolled oats
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 9 inch unbaked pie crust
1/2 c. chopped pecans
whipped cream (optional)
Preparation

In a saucepan, melt the butter.
Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, corn syrup and oats.
Stir in eggs and vanilla.
Pour mixture into the prepared crust.
Top with pecans.
Cover the edge with foil to prevent over browning.
Bake in a 325 oven for 25 minutes.
Remove foil.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until set.
Cool on a wire rack.
Serve with whipped cream and top with baked pie crust shapes, if you like.
Makes 6 servings.
