Butter Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

1/4 c. butter
2 c. chopped pecans
1 1/4 c. butter
3 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
4 unbeaten eggs
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Toast top 2 ingredients at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix flour, baking powder and salt together. Add alternately with milk. Add vanilla and toasted pecans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
