Four Dozen Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    2/3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Divide dough into 4 parts; shape each roll 13-inches wide and 3/4-inch thick.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet 4 inches apart and 2 inches from edge of sheet.
    Make a depression 1/4 to 1/3-inch deep, length of dough.
    Fill with red jelly or jam, about 1/3 cup.
    Bake until light brown and cut roll into 12 pieces.
