Club Sandwiches - cooking recipe

24 slices bread of your choice
butter
8 slices cold cooked chicken or other deli meat
mayonnaise
16 slices crisp bacon
16 slices tomato
sliced cheese, optional
Preparation

Toast bread; spread with butter. Cover 8 slices with chicken. Cover chicken with more bread slices, each one spread with mayonnaise. Place 2 slices bacon and 2 slices tomato on top of each sandwich and cover with remaining toast. Fasten securely with long toothpicks. Cut each sandwich diagonally into 4 triangles and stand them upright on a plate. Serves 8.
