Hillbilly Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. red candied cherries
    2 1/4 c. candied pineapple
    1 1/2 c. quartered dates
    3 c. pecan halves
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 pkg. white cake mix
    1 3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/3 c. milk
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Dredge cut up fruit with 1/2 cup flour.
    Mix cake mix as directed; add extracts.
    Beat 2 minutes with beater on medium speed.
    Add 1 egg at a time; beat 2 minutes longer.
    Spread evenly on 2 wax paper covered and oiled bread pans or in oiled and wax paper covered angel food pan.
    Bake 3 to 3 1/2 hours at 275\u00b0 with a shallow pan of water below the cake.
    Cool and glaze with hot white corn syrup.
    May be decorated with candied cherries or pineapple.
