Fireside Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 2 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
    4 or 5 carrots, sliced
    5 potatoes, cut into pieces
    3 onions, chopped
    1 can beef consomme
    1 can tomato soup
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    dash or so garlic powder
    1 can (10 count) biscuits
Preparation
    Do not brown meat.
    Place all ingredients, except biscuits, into a large casserole dish and blend well.
    Cover and bake for 3 to 4 hours at 300\u00b0.
    When meat is tender, increase heat to 400\u00b0 and top stew with biscuits.
    Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown.
