Beef Rendang - cooking recipe
Ingredients

20 dried chilies
3 large onions
5 cloves garlic
5 stalks lemon grass
2 tsp. turmeric powder
1 thumb size piece ginger
2 c. coconut milk
salt to taste
sugar to taste
1 lb. beef, cut into cubes
Preparation

Add meat and continue to fry, but on lower heat.
Add coconut milk, salt and sugar.
Simmer, stirring constantly, until meat is tender.
If meat needs a longer time to cook, and gravy dries, add a little water.
Feeds 4 to 6.
