Low Cholesterol Whip Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. unflavored gelatin
    2 tsp. water
    1/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder
    1/2 c. skim milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. sugar or 1 1/2 pkg. Equal
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in water 5 minutes.
    Stir powdered milk into skim milk in saucepan.
    Heat to simmer and add softened gelatin, stirring until gelatin is dissolved.
    Add vanilla and sugar and chill until mixture begins to thicken.
    Beat with mixer or rotary beater until very thick and light.
    Approximately 6 calories per serving.
    Diabetic substitution; about 1/4 cup nonfat or skim milk.
