Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hamburger (lean)
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 small can chopped green chilies
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
    1 (1 oz.) pkg. Ranch dressing mix
    1 can undrained hominy (white or yellow)
    3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown ground meat with onion and green chilies.
    Add dry ingredients and stir until meat is well coated.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer 30 minutes.
