Red Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 large or 7 lb. pared, seeded cucumbers
    1 c. lime (per gal. water)
    1 bottle red food coloring (small)
    1 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. powdered alum
    4 c. vinegar
    4 c. water
    10 c. sugar
    8 sticks cinnamon
    3 to 4 oz. cinnamon candy
Preparation
    Mix ingredients.
    Bring to a boil (dissolve sugar) and pour over red cucumbers.
    Let stand until next day in the solution (18 to 24 hours).
    Bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes.
    Put in hot, sterilized jars.
    Place in water bath of boiling water for 5 minutes.
    Place in cool, dark place.
