Milk Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
3 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Heat sugar and syrup in 1 cup milk, stirring until dissolved. Cook, stirring frequently, to 246\u00b0 to 248\u00b0, or until firm ball stage.
Slowly add second cup of milk and repeat the cooking process.
Add the final cup of milk, the butter and salt.
Cook to 246\u00b0 to 248\u00b0, or until a firm ball stage in cold water.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and pour at once into buttered pan.
Cut into squares when cool.
