Bizcochitos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lard
    2 c. sugar (or less)
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. rum or vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. anise seed or oil
    6 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Beat lard and sugar until smooth.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Beat until smooth and creamy. Mix in rum, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and anise flavoring. Add flour, a little at a time, and mix until well blended.
    Using a melon ball scoop, place spoonfuls of dough on an ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
