Old Fashioned Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. beef (with some tallow)
    2 lb. sugar
    2 lb. raisins
    5 lb. apples, chopped fine
    1/2 lb. candied orange peel
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. grape jelly
    4 or 5 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cook beef until tender.
    Cool and grind.
    Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
    Cook over low heat for 2 to 3 hours. Cool and use for pie and/or store in freezer.
