Mama'S Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins or chocolate chips

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars.
Mix in eggs and vanilla.
Stir together flour, salt, soda and spices.
Fold in creamed mixture. Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Makes 4 dozen.
