Nut Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening (butter or lard)
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 tsp. allspice
    1 c. milk (sweet)
    2 c. chopped walnuts (black)
    enough flour to make stiff dough (approximately 4 c.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla to mix thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Stir into creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Stir in nuts and raisins.
    Drop on greased baking sheet.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for about 10 to 12 minutes.
