Boiled Cake #2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. water
    6 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 c. seeded raisins
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. pastry flour (Gold Medal or Pillsbury)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. chopped pecans
    3/4 c. dark molasses
Preparation
    Boil first 5 ingredients 3 to 5 minutes; cool.
    Add molasses. Sift dry ingredients; add to cooled mixture.
    Stir in pecans.
    Put in 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes until done.
