Sausage-Apple-Sauerkraut Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pork sausage
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 apple, cored and sliced
    1 lb. sauerkraut
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
    4 servings instant mashed potatoes
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    paprika
Preparation
    Brown sausage in a skillet. Remove meat to a casserole dish and saute onion in same pan.
    Put onion and apple atop sausage and cover with sauerkraut and caraway seed.
    Make mashed potatoes according to package directions. Spread over sauerkraut and garnish with cheese and paprika.
    Bake, uncovered, in a 350\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
