Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. sugar
8 Tbsp. shortening (cold)
7 to 8 apples, cut in small pieces
2 c. water
8 tsp. baking powder
milk
cinnamon
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk until wet. Put on floured board and knead lightly.
Divide into three pieces. Roll each piece (not too thin).
Spread apples on dough and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Roll up and pinch ends. Cut in 2-inch pieces.
Place in pan. Sprinkle lightly with sugar.
