Ingredients

3/4 c. oil
1/3 c. dark or light molasses
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix oil, molasses, egg and sugar.
Sift all dry ingredients into oil mixture.
Blend thoroughly.
Chill dough at least 1 hour. Roll into balls (about 1 teaspoon), then roll each ball in white granulated sugar.
Bake on greased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
Try not to overbake.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven.
