Five Hour (No Peek) Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef stew meat, cubed
    5 large potatoes (chunks)
    5 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
    4 large stalks celery, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 onion, sliced
    1 medium green pepper
    2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans condensed golden mushroom soup
    2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca or cornstarch
    1 to 2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In large Dutch oven, layer all ingredients except last three. Combine tapioca, salt and pepper and sprinkle over stew; cover. Bake in 250\u00b0 oven for 5 hours.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
    A good company meal.
