Chinese Spareribs - cooking recipe

3 lb. spareribs
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. fat
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. pineapple juice
1/3 c. diced green pepper
Preparation

Cut ribs into serving pieces and simmer 2 hours in salt water or until tender.
Remove; drain and brown in 3 tablespoons fat. Remove ribs.
Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, vinegar, pineapple juice and soy sauce and add to fat.
Cook until sauce is transparent.
Add ribs, onion and green pepper.
Cook about 5 minutes or until the ribs absorb most of the sauce.
