Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    3 c. water
    beets
Preparation
    Put sugar, vinegar and water in saucepan; boil for 3 minutes. Cook beets and skin them.
    Cut and put in jars.
    Pour hot syrup on them; seal tightly.
    Let sit about 1 week.
