Open Face Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. butter (no substitute)
    2 whole eggs
    fruit pie filling (any flavor)
Preparation
    Work softened butter into dry ingredients.
    Blend in eggs. Grease flat pan (9-inch square okay).
    Press batter in pan and up sides of pan.
    Fill with fruit filling.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
