Catherine Collier'S Pork Chops And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    flour
    shortening
    1 c. rice
    green peppers and fresh tomatoes
    sliced onion
    salt and pepper
    1 can consomme soup
Preparation
    Season pork chops with salt and pepper, then flour.
    Brown in hot shortening on both sides.
    Put rice in greased baking dish. Put chops on top of rice.
    On each chop, put a slice of tomato and a slice of pepper.
    Pour consomme soup over it all.
    Bake for one hour at 325\u00b0, covered.
