Caramel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rich milk
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Brown 1 cup sugar.
    Pour water over melted sugar and cook until it thickens. Add milk and other sugar to syrup. Cook to soft ball stage (234\u00b0).
    Pour into mixing bowl and add flavoring. Beat until creamy. Add nuts and drop.
